Now What?
Now what? Now it’s time to look towards a newer and fresher-than-ever start at succeeding in life. Now that the door to freedom has re-opened, don’t hesitate and don’t delay in taking back your life that you allowed to be taken away. Let nothing stop you from achieving God’s best for your life. Only you can refuse what God has planned and wants and has always wanted to do in your life. We serve a give back God who likes to take broken hearts and lives and prove to the world that He is Restorer of all who will surrender all to Him.
There are thousands of men and women who are in prison who will not be granted a second or even a third chance like you have been. Make no mistake, prison cost you something, you lost some things along the way, but you have gained some too. Now take whatever it is that you have gained and all that you have learned from this experience and thank God for your freedom, thank Him that you were twice pardoned; first, when Jesus laid down His life for your freedom and then for that “get out of jail card” which was by no means cheap. And second, thank Him for the stretch you just did which was not cheap either. How many years did you say you were gone? It has cost you more than you wanted to pay. Thank God for mercy, thank God you did not get what you really deserved. So now what? Now, trust God and allow Him to guide you in the right direction and you will succeed in life; not in your timing, but in His timing. He says in Jer. 29:11 that He has plan for your life, a plan to prosper you, a good plan, so much better than your feeble attempts to construct your own happiness. There’s only one thing He requires which seems to allude us at times and that is trust in Him. In the past, you have trusted in things and people who have let you down, so now it’s time to learn to trust the One who made you for Himself, the only wise God and Father of us all.
