Give Your Time, Talent, or Treasure

Giving Comes in Many Ways

Like in any family… There are children with varying and special needs. The word of God teaches us that we are to look first to the “household of faith“ in our pursuit of fulfilling the great commission to make disciples. One of the most neglected parts of the body of Christ are those who are formally incarcerated and OATC has a passion to continue the discipleship process for those entering society from the incarcerated church.
Our hope is to partner with God as He promises to meet all of our needs according to his riches in glory. Those riches dwell within us, the Body of Christ to be given to those in need.
Come join us as we fulfill God’s commandment to make disciples and to restore those who have fallen so that God would be glorified and his redemptive power would be seen.

Your Time is a Valuable Gift

It is not lost on us that one of our most valuable gifts is time. For those who we are called to serve, time invested is worth more than a new outfit, phone, or car. As such volunteering with us is more about bringing your heart, gifts, resources, and committment.
Below are some of the areas that we’ve identified as opportunities for volunteers. This list is not exhaustive so if there is something you think would bless us please reach as we would love to talk with you.
Our current areas of need are:
  • Correspondents – people to respond to letters from those who are incarcerated
  • Organizing our clothes closet and donations
  • Building relationships with other churches and community organizations
  • General Adminstration
  • Rooms for rent or housing
  • Help planning our annual event
Volunteering is an excellent way to get to know us as an organization and give to the Body of Christ. We look forward to meeting you soon!

Mentorship is Vital to the Success this Program

Mentoring is truly a call to discipleship. Our mentors meet with inmates prior to their release to minister to them and help them prepare for life once they come out.  Our mentors also advocate and help coordinate essential needs like housing, employment, food, and clothing.
If you’re interested in learning more, please read our guide which reviews our training for mentors, the estimated time commitment, and other common questions.
