Personal Victory
All of us, at one time or another, have been touched or encouraged by the testimony of a person who has overcome sin and destruction in his or her life. The Bible teaches us the power of testimony when it says that it destroys the lies of the enemy who tells us that we will never change or that God won’t do what He promises through the blood of Jesus and the grace He gives us to live righteously.
Dalen found God to be true in all His promises and power in her life when she fully surrendered and submitted to the will of her Father in heaven. She writes: “My journey to victorious living began 10 years ago – I was trying to get free from 30 years of a drug filled life – to get free of guilt – to get free of shame. The Lord was my guide in my long journey, but if a website like Open Arms Transitional Care had been up and running it would have made my transitioning easier – I could have found everything I needed all on one website. I had to struggle my way through to the victory I was looking for – there was no one there reaching out to help. Having people who have been there and done that gives you hope and a knowing that, yes, if they can do it, so can I. The journey is long and the journey is hard, but the results are amazing! The Lord was there to help in every way and now, I can be Jesus’ eyes and ears, hands and feet, to help you. God bless you all and remember, ‘He who has begun a good work in you will bring it to pass.’ ”
